FACES OF EVIL – this is the theme of Hans Weishäupl’s book, which shows the thirteen cruellest and most infamous dictators of the last century as they have never been seen before: naked, uncensored, close-up and vulnerable. The portraits were created from separate photographs of over 350 people from the countries that suffered from their dictatorial regimes.

These dictators would never have tolerated these pictures – without uniform or other symbols of power, without autocratic gestures or cheering crowds - just the pure, exposed face of their evil.
